1.Introduction and Definitions
Welcome to Lamp Genius. These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to the use of our Website (“Website”). By accessing or using our Website, you (“User” or “Customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
For these Terms:
- “We,” “Us,” “Our” refer to Lamp Genius.
- “Product” refers to any item available for purchase on our Website.
- “Order” means a request by you to purchase Products from us.
2.Contract Formation
2.1 Order Process: An order placed by you constitutes an offer to purchase a Product from us. All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm our acceptance by sending you an email that confirms the Product has been dispatched (“Order Confirmation”). Only upon sending the Order Confirmation does a contract between you and us come into existence.
2.2 Order Acceptance Conditions: We reserve the right to reject any order at our discretion. Reasons for rejection may include, but are not limited to:
- Pricing errors.
- Out-of-stock items.
- Orders detected to be fraudulent.
- Delivery location issues.
2.3 Modifications or Cancellations: You may modify or cancel your order at any time before dispatch, except for custom orders, trade orders, or large order quantities that have been specially ordered. Once an item has been dispatched, you must go through our returns process by completing the returns form once the item is received.
3.Pricing and Payment
3.1 Pricing Information: All prices displayed on our Website are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at the applicable rate. Prices may be subject to change without prior notice.
3.2 Payment Methods: We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard)
- Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro)
- PayPal
- BACS Transfer
- Klarna and PayPal Credit for customers who wish to pay in installments
All card payments are processed securely via Stripe payments.
3.3 Pricing Errors: In the event of a pricing error on our Website, we reserve the right to cancel any orders placed for Products listed at the incorrect price, regardless of whether the order has been confirmed. If your payment has already been processed, we will issue a full refund.
3.4 Price Adjustments: If you purchase a Product and the price is subsequently reduced in a sale or promotion, we will not refund the difference in price.
4.Delivery
4.1 Delivery Costs:
- UK Mainland & Scottish Highlands:
- Orders under £99: Delivery fee of £7.
- Orders £99 and over: Free delivery.
- Northern Ireland, Scottish Islands, & Isle of Man:
- Orders under £99: Delivery fee of £18.
- Orders £99 and over: Delivery fee of £13.
- Republic of Ireland (ROI):
- All orders: Delivery fee of £25.
- Note: Due to customs regulations following Brexit, VAT and any import charges will be payable upon the order’s arrival at customs. UK VAT will not be charged at checkout.
- Isle of Wight:
- All orders: Delivery fee of £25.
- Europe:
- All orders: Shipping fees are determined on a case-by-case basis. Please contact our sales team for a quote, providing details of the items and the delivery address.
4.2 Delivery Timeframes:
- Delivery times vary depending on the product and are displayed on the product, cart, and checkout pages. Typically, deliveries to UK Mainland addresses are completed within 4-5 business days. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Islands, and Northern and Southern Ireland may take an additional 4-5 business days.
4.3 Order Tracking:
- You will receive a tracking email from DPD once your order has been dispatched. If you have not received a tracking email, this indicates your order has not yet been shipped. To check your order status, please log into your account on our Website.
4.4 Delivery Services:
- Depending on the size and nature of your order, we use various delivery services:
- Small Items: Royal Mail
- Standard Parcels: DPD Local
- Bulk Orders or Pallets: Palletline
- For pallet deliveries, we will contact you directly to arrange the delivery schedule.
4.5 If You Are Not Available for Delivery:
- If you are not available at the scheduled delivery time, you can change the delivery date via the DPD tracking email. You may also choose to have the package left in a safe place or with a neighbor. For specific delivery arrangements, please contact our customer service team.
4.6 Damaged or Missing Items:
- Should your order arrive damaged, please complete our returns form or contact our customer service team within 14 days of receiving the delivery. If any items are missing, please provide a photo and a description to help us resolve the issue promptly.
5.Cancellation and Returns
5.1 Cancellation Policy:
- General Orders: You may cancel your order at any time before it is dispatched. Once the order has been dispatched, cancellations are not possible, and you will need to follow our returns process.
- Custom and Trade Orders: Custom orders and trade orders can be canceled within 24 hours of receiving the order confirmation. After this period, cancellations are not accepted.
5.2 Returns Process:
- If you wish to return a Product, you must fill out the returns form on our returns page or contact our returns team directly. Returns must be initiated within 30 days of the delivery date.
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We offer a DPD Shop Drop service for £7 per box or a DPD Home Collection service for £18 per shipping box. For palletized items, a quote for return shipping will be provided at the time of the request.
- Custom Orders: Custom orders are non-returnable and cannot be refunded.
- Trade Orders: Trade orders will incur a 25% handling charge plus the cost of shipping the item back to us.
5.3 Refund Policy:
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. We aim to process refunds within 14 days of receiving the returned item and confirming that it is in a re-sellable condition.
6. Liability and Limitation
6.1 Product Liability:
- Our liability for any defective Product is limited to the purchase price of that Product. We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred, including but not limited to electrician fees, time off work, or compensation for inconvenience.
- Warranties for Products are provided by the respective manufacturers, not by Lamp Genius. Any warranty claims or issues with Product defects will be directed to the manufacturer of the Product.
6.2 Website Use:
- While we strive to ensure that all information on our Website is accurate and up-to-date, we do not guarantee the completeness or reliability of any content. We are not liable for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies on the Website or for any interruption in service.
6.3 General Limitation:
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lamp Genius shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our Products or Website. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of profits, loss of business, or other economic losses.

7.1 Data Collection:
- We collect personal information that you provide when placing an order, such as your name, address, and contact details. We do not store card details as all payments are securely processed through third-party payment providers, such as Stripe or PayPal. We also collect browsing data to help improve your experience on our Website.

- The personal information we collect is used to process your orders, enhance our Website’s functionality, and make improvements based on user behavior. We may also use your information for marketing purposes, including sending promotional emails, if you have opted in to receive such communications.
